In 2009 Carr released her debute single, "Back it Up." The official music video for song earned the top spot on MTV's Music Video Chart. In 2010 a video for a new song "Bitch Like Me" was made. It was directed by Jonathan Singer-Vine. The song was known as Carr's 2nd single, however in an interview with teenspot.com, she confirmed that the song was not an official single. Also in 2010, she released her first mix-tape "Sex Sells Stay Tooned". The mix-tape gained 29,000 downloads in just four days. It includes 17 tracks, including "Back it Up" and "Bitch Like Me". The mix-tape recieved a parent-advisatory label for explict content. The mix-tape has lead Carr to be compared to other female singers, mainly Ke$ha. Carr responded to these comments by saying, "If they're saying my name, I'm already winning.
